Circuit Breaker is an automatic electrical switch that is place at the first end of electrical circuit wiring. Circuit breaker is used to auto cut the electricity in the case of overload or short circuit in the electrical circuit wiring and saves the whole electrical circuit from being damaged.Circuit breaker continuously monitors the electrical line for the short circuit or over load and if it finds the fault in the electrical line, immediately stops the current flow in line and breaks the electrical circuit.That’s why it is called circuit breaker. The same functionality can be get by using the fuse wire but there is the major difference between electrical fuse and circuit breaker that fuse can not be reused if it has broken the circuit because it damages completely and has to replace it but the circuit breaker can be reset after breaking the electrical circuit.Circuit breakers are made according to the requirement like for home electrical appliances the circuit breakers are in small size because they are enough to stop the current flow for small electrical circuit and circuit breakers are made in large size of industrial electricity system because of high voltage electrical line.

In brief we can say that circuit breaker controls completely the current or voltage flow in the electrical wiring and saves it from being damaged in short circuit or over load situation.
